Intermediate Stained Glass
with Kate Jarman-Gates
Thanks to a Creative Aging grant from Utah Division of Arts and Museums (funded by your tax dollars) we are hosting this free, intermediate stained glass class.
Requirements:
- Experience: Prior beginner stained glass course attendance, or proof of stained glass experience, is required.
- Age: This class is designed for ages 55 and up, though experienced glass artists at least 12 and over are welcome.
- Attendance: Attendance at all 7 sessions of this course and the culminating opening show is required. If you can't make all of the sessions, you must plan to attend enough Open Studio sessions to make up the lost time and knowledge.
In this 7-week course you'll learn intermediate glass skills while creating more advanced Tiffany-method stained glass. These skills include pattern design, delicate cuts (tight curves and narrow pieces), grozing difficult cuts, and came framing in order to create more complicated designs.
This course will culminate in an opening gallery show co-planned by the learners and the instructor.
We have money to pay for your childcare and transportation costs to attend this class. Let us share it with you! Email accessibility@togetherartsutah.com to arrange reimbursement for these expenses.
